FAA Repair Station Inspector/Repairman; Level 2 (12/2023)
Summary of Position:
Medium level position of experience that can work independently with minimal oversite in the repair station. Performs preliminary, outside process and final inspections.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible to ensure work performed to repair products meets customer and/or FAA requirements, approved technical data and is safe for return to service.
Ensuring all repaired/overhauled parts and parts processed by approved suppliers were processed IAW PSSI purchase order and quality requirements
Reviewing completed work orders in the repair station
Ensuring that all products on work orders have been completed as required, that there are no open discrepancies and that all maintenance and/or alterations have been accomplished utilizing FAA approved data, service bulletins and advisory directives as applicable.
Ensuring all documentation/certifications are in order, maintaining identification and traceability requirements and ensures the proper maintenance of files of completed work orders in such a manner that the files pertaining to a specific repair item can be readily located for review.
Responsible for the maintenance and/or alteration of parts/products to FAA Approved data.
Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their re-use as serviceable products. Performing destruction of scrap products when are parts are designated not to be returned to the customer.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to sit for a total of up to (8) eight hours a day.
• Ability to type for a total of up to (8) eight hours a day.
• Occasional reaching, walking, lifting a maximum of up to (10) ten pounds.
